Cooking as an act of style,
celebration, and identity.

Remy Devourie is a design studio focused on enabling the best dinner parties. We do so by bringing fashion to the kitchen. Our spark comes from our own love of hosting and cooking. For years, our founder Zi Chan and his wife have welcomed friends to Sunday dinners in their Massachusetts home, bringing together her Italian specialties and his Asian favorites.

We wanted clothes to cook in that felt as considered and expressive as the food: practical enough for the kitchen, stylish enough to lift your mood. That combination didn’t exist. So we built it.

Asymmetry with balance.
Geometry with fluidity.
Elegance with ease.

Our launch capsule celebrates dualities. Its forms draw from sculpture and architecture, balancing the hardened determination to protect with the tenderness that nurtures. Each piece pairs elegance with ease, designed for those who move between roles without compromise.

Founder

Zi Chan

Raised in Singapore, educated in the UK and now based in Boston, Zi has long seen food and fashion as anchors of identity and self-expression amid the frequent changes of an intercontinental life. That intersection became the foundation for Remy Devourie: considered, highly crafted apparel and accessories for cooking, hosting and everyday life.

Before founding the company, Zi built a career in technology and consumer products, including at Wayfair. His background brings an analytical, customer-led approach to design: questioning familiar trade-offs, studying how people actually use objects, and obsessing over the balance between form and function.

Zi is also an avid home cook and host, and has been hosting weekly Sunday dinners with his wife for years. He hopes that their six-month-old son, Jonny, will grow up to be a seafood aficionado like dad.

Head of Design

Gabriella Zanzani

Raised between Germany and Italy, Gabriella Zanzani brings an international perspective and decades of luxury fashion experience to Remy Devourie.

Her career has spanned houses including Oscar de la Renta, Celine, Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan, as well as entrepreneurial ventures of her own. As Creative Director and a founding member of Maiyet, she helped shape the luxury house and presented collections during Paris Fashion Week.

Gabriella’s design process begins conceptually, examining art, architecture and nature in pursuit of work that feels, in her words, “fresh, authentic and on brand.”

An avid cook with a custom-designed kitchen at home, she brings to Remy Devourie both a designer’s eye and an intimate understanding of how the kitchen is actually lived in.
